In order to pass the course and receive your certificate, you must earn an average of 95% across all of the exercise categories. This course is based on a proven eLearning formula. The intelligent software monitors student progress and adapts based on your learning curve. This allows you to concentrate on electrocardiography subject areas you may be having problems with while focusing less on concepts you already understand.
Ratings are displayed by the green progress indicators on the right side of the screen inside of the course. There are no traditional exams; your progress is tested as you go and the course adjusts based on your knowledge level. If you answer a question correctly, the rating will increase. It will decrease if you answer a question incorrectly. Incorrect questions will be covered by additional questions to give you a chance to earn your rating points back.
Introduction to ECG is accredited for 1.6 CEUS which is the equivalent of 16 learning hours. An average student will take 16 hours to read every page, answer every question and progress normally throughout the course.
These courses are self-paced and several factors determine how long the courses will take to complete. Your connection speed, how fast you read, how familiar you are with the material and your determination to finish will influence completion time.
While this course may help prepare you for the ECG Technician Certification, we recommend you contact the certification program in which you are interested to determine their requirements.

In 1970, a national task force of volunteers met to establish a form of credit for continuing education different from the semester system used in higher education. That credit was named the "Continuing Education Unit" and has come to be known as the "CEU." A CEU is defined as:
"Ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified instruction."
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is the founder and guardian of the CEU and determines the criteria for awarding CEUs.
Corexcel is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
This type of credit is typically given for courses taken from training companies who've endured the rigorous process of accreditation but are not considered universities. CEUs are able to be converted to college credit more often than not.
Important: Beware of companies offering CEUs without the accreditation to offer them. If you are taking a course for CEUs make sure the organization providing the credits is accredited through the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. You can check to see if an organization is accredited in the IACET directory. Be sure to check the accreditation of any online school prior to enrolling in a course.
