What is a certificate program?
A non-degree program typically providing a professional CEU certificate. The programs are usually six months to a year in length and train and certify the participant has completed courses in a related field of study.
How can I use this certificate?
You can use this certificate for a variety of purposes. Most licensing boards will accept the CEU certificate towards continuing education credits for license renewal. We suggest that you contact your particular licensing board before enrolling if this is your situation. Upon successful completion students can use the certificate to bolster their resume for employment or promotion. While we cannot guarantee that you will get a job or be promoted, completion of one or all of the certificate programs can certainly help.
Is Corexcel accredited?
Yes, Corexcel is an Authorized CEU Sponsor of the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Corexcel is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Will my employer accept this certificate?
Your employer would have to answer this question. We suggest printing the certificate program brochure by clicking the download link and showing it your employer. The downloadable file should give you the necessary information to present. Most employers will accept the CEU certificate but we do not guarantee that every employer will.
Will my school accept this certificate?
We ask students to contact their school to answer this question. You can print the certificate program brochure and show it your school administrator. The file should give you the necessary information to present. Many colleges and/or universities will accept the CEU certificate as they issue them also for their certificate programs. While many schools follow the same set of standards for accepting outside credit not all schools follow the same model. We ask that you contact your school to see if they accept CEU certificates from IACET providers.
Can I use this for my resume?
Yes you can. Employers are anxious to hire individuals that take charge of furthering their education. Adding completion of one of the Corexcel Professional Certificate Programs will give you an edge over colleagues with the same degree.
Will this help me get a job or earn a promotion?
Upon successful completion students can use the certificate to bolster their resume for employment or promotion. While we cannot guarantee that you will get a job or be promoted, completion of one or all of the certificate programs can certainly help.
How many CEUs is the Professional Certificate Program worth?
Each course carries 0.2 CEUs which is the equivalent to 2 hours of classroom time. The CEU value of the Sales Certificate Program is 1.8 CEUs, the Customer Service Professional Certificate Program is 1.4 CEUs and the Leadership Professional Certificate Program is 0.8 CEUs.
What is a CEU?
In 1970 a national task force of volunteers met to establish a form of credit for continuing education different from the semester system used in higher education. That credit was named the "Continuing Education Unit" and has come to be known as the "CEU". A CEU is defined as: “Ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction." The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is the founder and guardian of the CEU and determines the criteria for awarding CEUs. Corexcel is an authorized provider of the CEU.
