Anatomy & Physiology Course Objectives
At the conclusion of Fundamentals of Anatomy & Physiology participants will be able to:
- Define the anatomic terms used to refer to the body in terms of directions and geometric planes.
- Describe the major cavities of the body and the organs they contain.
- Recognize terms related to the human body’s anatomy.
- Match anatomical terms with the appropriate physiology.
- Illustrate the anatomical location of the components of a cell and explain their function.
- Identify the major constituents in the blood and lymph systems and differentiate roles played by each.
- Identify the anatomical structures in the digestive system and relate them to the aspects of digestion.
Course Credit & Completion Time
Students have full access to Online Anatomy and Physiology for 1 year. This course is self-paced and completion time is dependent upon on many factors, including the student’s prior knowledge, connection speed, reading comprehension, exercises and games completed. Students receive a certificate with CEUs when passing both the midterm and final examination with a 70% or better and completing a short course evaluation.
Upon successful completion of the Online Anatomy and Physiology course students will receive a certificate of completion for 9.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Corexcel is authorized to award CEUs by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training. Acceptance of CEUs is at the discretion of the institution. To determine if your school will convert CEUs to college credit, submit the course objectives and accreditation information for approval prior to enrolling.
For students requiring college credit, Corexcel’s online course, Fundamentals of Anatomy & Physiology, is approved for 3 college credits through ITCAP and its educational partner Pima Community College (PCC). PCC is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. To insure that the college credits will transfer to your institution, submit the course objectives and accreditation information to your institution for approval prior to enrolling. The purchase options for our online anatomy and physiology course are listed below. The textbook and study guide is not required to enroll in the course but they’re useful for students who want to study off-line. We also list the books separately so you can purchase them at a later time if you change your mind.
