What is Introduction to Medical Terminology?

Introduction to Medical Terminology is an instructor-led course that teaches participants to understand basic medical terms, their meanings and to analyze new terms. Participants have the opportunity to practice basic word components: word roots, prefixes, and suffixes. Case studies, anatomical terms, and special diagnostic procedures are covered to enhance learning. This course allows time to practice pronunciation of medical terms. We also offer this course in an online format for individuals motivated by self-paced learning.

How Long is The Introduction to Medical Terminology Course?

16 Hours offered:

  • 8 weeks - 2 hours per week or
  • 4 weeks - 4 hours per week
