The program highlights specific tools and intervention strategies for use in challenging clinical situations and addresses issues confronted in daily practice. Each 2 hour session includes a didactic presentation incorporating case examples and a role play demonstrating specific assessment/intervention strategies. Examples of issues addressed include anxiety, depression, medical noncompliance, substance abuse, parenting the chronically ill child and disenfranchised grief.
