Q: Can I use idXready programs on more than one computer? A: Yes. Your USB drive contains all of the idXready program content and video needed to run the program. This ‘self contained’ model allows you to easily use your idXready program on multiple computers. A: Pre-work is the work that respondents complete prior to training sessions. The pre-work is sent as a link, or an access code, from your EPIC account, included with course purchase. Respondents click on the link and are asked to respond to several questions. Their responses are then interpreted and incorporated into an individualized Participant Workbook, which you will present to the respondent during your training session. Q: Can you run a Group Report, Facilitator Report, or a Team View Report based on the participant’s responses? A: Yes, a Group Report is available for the Collaborative Skills for Teams and Capitalizing on Team Talents, and a Facilitator Report is available for Improving Your Listening Skills. Q: If an idXready program uses the DiSC® Profile or Team Dimensions Profile, and our participants have already taken one of those assessments, can I use their existing data to create their individualized Participant Workbook? A: Not at this time. Q: Can I customize idXready programs (add or remove pages, slides, etc.) if I don’t think that the entire program fits my needs? A: The Participant Workbook is generated through EPIC and is a locked PDF. Pages can be removed, but the page numbers cannot be changed, so removing pages will cause the pagination to be off. The Leader’s Guides are editable and allow you to customize and add/omit facilitation notes as needed. However, if your additions are longer than the space available on the existing page, the pagination of your Leader’s Guide will not be synchronized with the Participant Workbooks and PowerPoint slides. The PowerPoint slides can be edited, or hidden, however, we caution you in doing this, as the edits that you make to the PowerPoint slides will not be reflected in the Participant Workbooks, which may cause confusion in your training sessions. Q: If I have loaded my idXready programs onto my laptop, can I customize the PowerPoint file on my desktop and transfer it to my laptop at a later time? A: Yes. You will need to save the PowerPoint file to a flash or USB drive from your laptop first. You can then edit the file on your desktop or another machine using PowerPoint. Once you’ve completed the edits, your updated PowerPoint file will need to be moved back to the laptop and inserted into the proper folder. For instance, if the file was located in C:/idXready programs/Capitalizing on Team Talents, the updated file will need to be copied from the USB drive into that same directory. Keep in mind that when working on the PowerPoints on your desktop computer, you will not have access to any of the video for that idXready program. The video can only be viewed by using the idX Launcher. Q: What is the difference between the Team programs? A: Capitalizing on Team Talents and Collaborative Skills for Teams both incorporate data from the Team Dimensions 2.0 assessment. Collaborative Skills for Teams is more situational, focusing on an individual’s role as it relates to interpersonal skills, time management, communication, and project management. Capitalizing on Team Talents is geared more towards motivating a team based on their strengths and understanding their limitations. Q: What do I do if my computer crashes, or if I get a new computer? A: Contact Corexcel for assistance with transferring your license. Q: Can I email idXready reports to participants? A: Yes. Since idXready rides on EPIC, you have the ability to View/Print, Save, or Email a report. However, there will probably be very few instances where you will want your participants to have their Participant Workbook prior to a training session, as the information means very little to them outside of the classroom experience. Q: Is the video from idXready programs available to purchase separately from the programs? A: Not at this time. Q: What version of PowerPoint is required for using idXready programs? A: PowerPoint 2003 or later is required to run an idXready program. Q: Do I need an internet connection to register and load the program? A: Yes Q: Do idXready programs work on Macintosh computers? A: Not at this time. Q: Can idXready programs be used for virtual training? A: Due to the high resolution of the video assets contained in each idXready program, it will most likely be a facilitation challenge in a Webinar type of seminar setting, as the streaming and buffering of the video will cause “jerky” playback of the video. Q: How long does it take to launch the idXready Launcher? A: The launch program normally takes less than 30 seconds to decrypt the videos and prepare your PowerPoint presentation. Q: What are the system requirements for idXready programs? A: - Microsoft Office 2003 with Power Point 2003
